The Community Health Worker Committee is a group created in the fall of 2023 by The Center for Children, Family and Workforce Development (The Center) and Montana Office of Rural Health/AHEC.
The committee will meet twice a month for a period of 12 months to support development of common Montana standards for the CHW profession. These standards will include a common definition, scope of practice, code of ethics, and training requirements.
The committee is 100% composed of CHWs and allied workforces. This meeting is open to the general public.
Monthly committee meetings will be open to public participation and meeting notes will be posted here. A sub-committee of the workforce meets twice monthly and is invitation only.
